Ministry Story

Community & Pastoral Care

Years of pastoral ministry serving local congregations, mentoring young leaders, and walking alongside families in their faith journeys.

Long before the seminary, KhaiKhai's ministry was rooted in the quiet, faithful work of local pastoring. He has served Zomi congregations in Grand Rapids and Battle Creek, Michigan, and walked alongside churches in Kent and Maple Valley, Washington — communities shaped by migration, by memory, and by deep faith.

Today he pastors the Shoreline and Lynnwood churches in Washington, multicultural and intergenerational congregations where Sabbath morning brings together stories from many countries under one roof. His pastoral work is built on presence: weddings and funerals, hospital visits and kitchen-table conversations, the slow and sacred craft of walking with people through the seasons of life.

He is also a co-founder of Myanmar Community Services, a ministry that offers practical help to immigrants and refugees — translation, paperwork, advocacy, and the simple dignity of being seen. For KhaiKhai, the gospel is never abstract: it shows up wherever someone needs a friend, a pastor, or a faithful neighbor.
